January 24, 2022It’s a minute before the end of the workday and, we know, you’re already anticipating that Spritz.
But you don’t drink without teasing something, and there is no shortage of olives! If you have been lucky enough to be in Apulia, you may have come across, during an aperitif, olives of considerable size that have conquered the world for their unmistakable flavor: the Bella di Cerignola DOP olives.
Also called Bella della Daunia, they are thought to have been introduced from Spain in the 1400s, or even derived from the Orchites of the Romans.
Chosen as one of Italy’s best table olives, the Cerignola olive obtained registration as a Protected Designation of Origin in 2000.
Savor the taste of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, make your aperitif special!
Which then, honestly, olives look good at any time.
